It was a winnable game............considering what it could have been ....we salvage things.....now lets go win one in Senegal.

I think coach Hey has found his team.......the team that finished the game

We can be satisfied, but not fully.

Again, we conceided a silly goal, I think It was the second one. Our marking was poor from the beginning of the 2nd half until the 75th minute, when we started taking control of the match and scored 2 times. Oliver Makor's goal was tremendous! We should have won the game. All in all, we still have a chance, nothing is lost yet. The group winner itself seems unpredictable at this point.

Encouraging Scoreline against senagal

Post by luseniiw on Sun Jun 15, 2008 3:01 pm

Compare to the last time when we got spanked 3-0 in Monrovia, a 2-2 scoreline is encouraging. I am looking for report on the match and hightlights. If anyone fien something, please post it.

Oliver Makor's goal was the best I have seen in this competition so far. It was a tremendous effort and a fine ending result. The second goal caught me off guard. We need to beat Algeria in Monrovia and beat Gambia in Gambia. This team should be kept together even if we do not make either tournament. The team is young and growing. Give them four more years and you will see the result.

Senegal
Diouf scored the first goal from a corner
Cheikh Gueye scored the second

Liberia
Dioh Williams scored the first
Oliver Makor scored the absolutely brilliant goal from the assist from Solomon Grimes

No we cannot be satisfied this result, we need to win and start winning at home. I am happy for the draw but not satisfied. We have three more games left, two away and only one at home. To get to the next stage we must win all three remaining games and that is a hard task.

We need to be realistic. The Liberian team is young and not good yet. We do not have players at any top club in Europe. Senegal has ton of players in big leagues. The fact we came from 2nil down to tie shows that coach Hey is doing a great job motivating this team. We are not going to make any tournament in 2010. I hope all Liebrians can see that. We need to let this be a training ground to 2012. Let's keep Hey around, follow the program he will put in place for 2012 and let's get ready to rumble. Of Course, we need to place some emphasis on youth soccer if we want to succeed longterm.
