Football writers wanted
Are you passionate about African football? Do you have opinions and information on the beautiful game that you want to share? New African Soccer magazine is currently being relaunched and is looking for new writers for the magazine and website.
If you're an established writer or would just like to get some experience and see your work in print we'd love to hear from you.
Apply to become a citizen journalist and if we like your work you will be invited to join the New African Soccer blog, where writers from all over the world will keep fans updated on the latest twists and turns in African football. Successful citizen journalists will get the opportunity to contribute to our bi-monthly magazine and become part of the New African Soccer team. There will also be prizes such as signed shirts up for grabs to our most valued contributors.
We aim to be the most comprehensive source of news and views for African football fans everywhere. Come and join us.
How to apply:
Send an email titled CITIZEN JOURNALIST to jake@newafricansoccer.co.uk introducing yourself, and specifying your areas of interest in African football, ie, the One Touch premier league, football player migration, the Indomitable Lions, Seria A, Liberian football, women's football, etc (nb. we aim to cover all aspects of African football so don't worry no niche is too small).
Please send an example of your writing- 250-500 words.
The editorial team will assess your application and if successful we'll get back to you with more information. All applications will be acknowledged.
