All Is Not Lost(Liberia Still Stand A Chance For Angola 2010)
Do not be despair my friends. Liberia still stand a chance for Angola 2010. Right now in our Group Senegal lead with 8pts, second is Algeria with 6pts, third is The Gambia with 5pts and fourth Liberia with 2pts. As we all know by now the top two teams will make Angola
2010. Well my friends the ball is in our courts and we can accomplish this task if we strive. Here's the reason why we have the biggest advantage to steal the 2nd spot.
Senegal next game will be a home game against the Gambia and that game will be played on a saturday. Since Senegal has 8pts and the Gambia 5. They cannot afford a lost because a lost will tied and put them in jeopardy on losing the WC. So they will go for the Kill.
Liberia advantage is that they will have to play on sunday and it will be a home game. Their sole goal should be to win this match as even gambia was able to get a home win against Algeria. Considering that we played our weakest team against Algeria the first time around, there's room for improvement. So if Liberia get the win. Then Liberia would have 5pts, Gambia would have 5pts, Senegal would have 11pts and Algeria would have 6pts.
With Liberia and Gambia tied on 5pts and schedule to play the last game of the round in the Gambia. It will be an all out battle but for the winner of this battle to qualify for Angola 2010, Senegal must beat Algeria in Algiers where they are 2 - 0 In the series. Senegal has also proven to be the best road team in the group. They have 1 win and 1 draw on the road and two home wins. So if they keep their moral up with either a win or a draw against Algeria and Liberia pull of their only road win in the Gambia. Then Liberia will qualify.
Another senario is if the Gambia can go to Senegal and steal a draw. Senegal will have 9 pts and will be compel to beat Algeria in Algiers if they want to go to the next pool for WC. Then the Gambia will have 6 and Algeria will have 6 and If Liberia can come through in The Gambia then they will have 8pts and that will be good enough to get us to Angola.
This is only possible if Liberia win their next home game against Algeria. This is the time to prepare and make it happen. Liberia should treat this game like a one game finals with home court advantage.

Re: All Is Not Lost(Liberia Still Stand A Chance For Angola 2010)
Now Jujuman2010, all of this sounds good and all. I do believe that our lonestar are able to pull this off but the real question is will they deliver. Liberia can get a win at home against Algeria, but away will be a mountain in our way considering the fact that Gambia are reaching for the same star we are (Angola 2010). So now lets hope that we can accomplish these tasks, because hope is all we have right know. We know our world cup chances are gone so we need to start focusing on 2012 and 2014. I do believe we have enough time to get where we need to be.

Correction my bro, the top two teams do not go to the next round. Instead, its the top team and the best eight second place teams that go to the next round. This makes it ever harder for Lone Star, but not impossible. Also my bro, Senegal did not win any away game they drew both with Gambia (o-o) and Liberia (2-2).

Yes and to add to Smartfootball's comments, Lone Star's next game is on the road to the Gambia.

Re: All Is Not Lost(Liberia Still Stand A Chance For Angola 2010)
Okay oversight...
Senegal has two draws on the road and two win at home..... They are still the best road team in this group. Algeria has two loses on the road and Gambia has a draw and a lose on the road. September is not far away. Liberia can still go into Gambia and pull off a win. We have proven in this tournament that we can score goals. Yet our Defense is suspect. That should be what they need to work on. Plus we need more size in the D. We are two small in size in the Defense. The Gambians, Senegalese and Algerians are tall people. So we need to get bigger in the D. We have to invite Willis Forko and Chris Gbandi and pair them with Jimmy Dixon. We can also move Laffor to the Defense. Liberia needs a new Zizi Roberts as well. He had size and he could play as a striker and in the Defense. Zizi was a handful for opponents. Damn, if LFA only had better insurance for their players. He would have still been and Asset to this day.
